Meet Nak from Cambodia, a proud MIU graduate of December 2024, whose story is a true example of how dedication, resilience, and purpose can open doors across the world.

Nak’s academic journey began in 2009 when he earned a full scholarship from PETRONAS, Malaysia’s national oil and gas company, to study Business Information Systems at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. After graduating in 2013, he joined a global construction firm in Malaysia, launching his career in SAP as part of the Global IT Finance and Controlling team.
His drive for excellence didn’t stop there. In 2016, Nak was selected for the prestigious Chevening Scholarship, which allowed him to pursue a Master’s in E-Business Management at the University of Warwick in the UK—a major milestone that expanded both his technical and global perspective.
By 2022, Nak was ready for his next big step: advancing his expertise at Maharishi International University (MIU) in the USA. What drew him to MIU was the program’s unique blend of professional relevance, flexibility, and holistic support.
“MIU’s program structure really fit my career goals,” Nak shared. “The courses were practical, and the tuition model made it possible for me to study while managing finances responsibly.”
The MBA ERP & Analytics program offered Nak the chance to deepen his SAP skills through courses like SAP Business Analytics, Business Intelligence and Data Mining, SAP Business Processes, and Agile Project Management. Even with his prior experience, Nak found these courses to be highly valuable and industry-focused—preparing him for roles like SAP Functional Consultant or IT Business Analyst.

After completing his eight months of on-campus study, Nak quickly landed a full-time position at Hilti North America as an IT Business Analyst – SAP Billing & Taxation, where he continues to grow today.
When asked about his job search strategy, Nak credits the MIU alumni network:
“Connecting with MIU alumni was key. They gave me great advice and even referred me to opportunities. That support made all the difference.”
But what truly sets Nak apart is his commitment to giving back. Beyond his professional success, he is deeply passionate about empowering young women in technology and STEM. Through initiatives such as Women in Tech, Wedu Global Mentorship, YSEALI Women’s Leadership Academy, Chevening Mentorship, AmCham Cambodia, and the AnitaB.org Mentorship Program, Nak actively mentors and supports emerging female leaders across Asia and the U.S.
Nak’s story is a reminder that success isn’t just about reaching personal goals—it’s also about lifting others along the way.
